About comedy in Las Vegas
You can move between clubs without leaving the resort corridor. Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club, the Comedy Cellar at the Rio, the Laugh Factory at Horseshoe, and Brad Garrett's Comedy Club all book comics through the week. The showrooms sit in the same neighborhood of hotels. The Underground Theater at MGM Grand, the V Theater and the Saxe Theater inside Planet Hollywood, and the Atrium Showroom at Luxor take productions that want a bigger stage than a club room. A smaller number of dates land at the Encore Theater at Wynn, the Palazzo Theatre at the Venetian, and Dolby Live. The practical difference is the night you want. A club date is a tight room and a working bill. A showroom date is a produced show, often a name passing through on a tour.
The list moves. Midweek holds get added, and a weekend that looked thin on Monday can fill in. The email alert under this intro is the FindStandup note for Las Vegas. Leave an address and we will write when a new show is added to the city list, so you do not have to recheck the same hotels.
If you are visiting, start with the club names above and then look at the showrooms only if the bill is someone you already planned to see. The page is sorted by date, and the venue is on every row.
