Comedy Shows in Houston, TX

Punch Line Houston is at GreenStreet, on Caroline Street, in the part of downtown already surrounded by theaters. The Improv is west of the 610 Loop, and it is the room that runs the long weekend headliner bookings with a dinner crowd. The two clubs book a similar tier of touring comic and ask for a different kind of evening. One is a downtown night. The other is a drive out the Katy Freeway and a table at the club. Comics who are playing a hall instead of a club show up at House of Blues Houston, Bayou Music Center, and 713 Music Hall. The Toyota Center and the Arena Theatre appear when the show is large enough for those rooms. Those dates are sparse next to the two clubs, and they read like concerts.
